Poonch : Additional District Development Commissioner Poonch, Abdul Sattar Saturday flagged off 4 trucks/Vehicles for transportation of livestock and migratory tribal families from different locations of District Poonch to highland pastures in Kashmir.
The nomadic tribespersons mainly the Gujjar and Bakerwal people undertake seasonal migration to the summer destinations in the Valley and return before the onset of winter every year.
The tribal people expressed gratitude to the district administration for providing the trucks for their seasonal migration free of cost.
Gen Manager DIC, Dr.ZakirHussain, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi, Prof. Mohammad Abbasi, District Social Welfare Officer, Mohinder Paul and other officers were present.
