DC Poonch dedicates community Radio station to people of Suran Valley

Poonch : Radio PirPanjal 90.4 FM -Awam Ki AwazAwamTakk, a community Radio Station was inaugurated Saturday in Surankote by Deputy Commissioner Poonch,InderJeet amid a colourful function.
The community Radio station will cater to a large number of people from Kalai to peer kiGali.
In his inaugural address, the Deputy Commissioner congratulated the people of Surankote and expressed hope that it will inform, Educate and entertain the masses, besides providing necessary information to the village folk, particularly the nomadic population residing in Dhokas. He further said that the youth of the area have a great potential and talent and this Radio will provide them an opportunity to display the same.
A cultural program was also organized on this occasion which was highly applauded by the audience.
Others who graced the Inaugural ceremony were Senior Superintendent of Police, RohitBaskotra, SDM Surankote, NaheemunNissa Bhatti, SDPO Surankote, TanveerGeelani, Principal, Govt. Degree college Surankote, Jasbir Singh, Member DDC Sohail Malik and Commander Six Sector R R Brigadier Mandeep Singh SENA Medal.
The show was anchored by Pardeep Khanna.
DC Poonch reviews status of land acquisition for BRO projects
Poonch : Deputy Commissioner Poonch, InderJeet Saturday chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of Land acquisition for Bufliaz- Surankote BRO road, National Highway package 7&8 and the progress of all BRO projects, here at Hqr of 79 RCC Poonch.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner directed the CLA defence Rajouri/Poonch to disburse the awarded amount of surankote-1, Surankote-2 and Bufliaz road to the rightful owners within 10 days by holding special camps, besides to re-verify the structure coming under the alignment of roads.
The Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of structures and trees coming under the alignment of NH road. He directed the Xen PWD(R&B) and DFO Poonch to complete the assessment of structure/trees within 15 days.
The concerned Tehsildar was asked to facilitate the executing agency in the execution of work on BRO roads, NH road and removal of encroachment alongside these roads.
The Deputy Commissioner further directed the OC GREF to remove all illegal encroachment alongside NH road.
It was informed in the meeting that 20 villages are coming in the alignment of NH 144A Akhnoor-Poonch, out of which notification under section 3A has been issued for 17 villages and notification under section 3G has been issued for 2 villages, while draft notification of 3D has been submitted to OC GREF for uploading on BhoomiRoshni portal.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the OC GREF to complete the re-verification of alignment of NH road within one week time to facilitate early execution of work.
The Deputy Commissioner further directed the OC GREF and Tehsildar to remove the dumping material from theroadside to maintain smooth traffic movement for the upcoming AmarnathjiYatra.
