At the very outset , it is judicious to quote the father of Indian nation , MK Gandhi who has stated that ‘ woman is the companion of man gifted with equal mental capacity ‘ . If you wish to give admonition or advice, let it be offered in such a way that it will not burden the hearer” Human beings are the supreme creation of the lord of the universe because they possess free will . Both man and woman are the masterpieces of nature in terms of their creation and attributes. Men have a degree of advantage over women only in matters of domestic responsibilities , not in physical , spiritual or mental qualities . (Al-Quran 04 : 34 ) .
The twenty-first century is the century of the progress , development and prosperity of women . They win laurels in every recognised sphere . Be it medical , technological, academic , martial , political or any other prominent sphere . Women do not lag behind or run slower than men . In fact , they are far superior to men in many spheres and are torch bearers in various significant areas . The days of partriarchy and male dominance are over . The sun of the success of women has risen and is dazzling bright on the horizon. Just as time is setting the stage for development and mankind is reaching the stage of development, in the same modern age, women are shining side by side with men and prove everywhere their abilities and virtues. Every sector, be it political or social, economic or operational, women in each sector are on the path of development. Among the women who form the vanguard in our part of the world is also the daughter of the land , prof Nilofar Khan . Being a distinguished academician and administrator, Prof Nilofar khan having teaching experience of more than 30 years and has served the Kashmir University’s corporate life in several important academic and administrative capacities, including Dean College Development Council, Registrar, Dean Faculty of Applied Science and Technology and Director Institute of Home Sciences. She also holds the distinction of being the first woman Dean of Students Welfare of the University and Founder Director, the Centre for Women’s Studies and Research. Prof Nilofar has been a member of various important decision-making bodies of the University, including the University Council, University Syndicate (KU), University Syndicate (Jammu University), Academic Council, and Finance Committee. She has also been chairperson of Students’ Grievance Committee KU and Co-Presiding Officer of the Internal Compliance Committee of Central University of Kashmir, and Chairperson Internal Complaints Committee KU. Professor Khan, who had the distinction of being the first woman to be appointed as Dean Student Welfare at the university few years ago, has now been appointed as vice-chancellor for a three-year term. The vast experience and the kind of service Prof Nilofar khan have rendered in the various departments of the university amicably is enough to qualify the pride lady for this position with certainty and without a doubt۔ As we all know big positions also bring with them big responsibilities. For the upliftment of university i want to share my views, my research, reflections, Observations or advices. The word admonition is usually used in the sense of speaking of goodness and good advice. That is, the person who is being admonished, his complete goodness and goodwill intention is interpreted as the word admonition. Social behavior of muslims is deeply influenced by advice literature. times, advice goes beyond religious and suggests administrative policies. Qur’an. The Qur’an advises Muslims on their religious duties, including the Five Pillars of Islam, or religious obligations, including confession of faith, prayer, fasting, charity, and pilgrimage.
In our everyday life some advices are usually given by our elders parents teachers, experts, and the intelligent persons are those who remember these lessons and advices for the upliftment of their personality and take early precautions in order to get rid from upcoming problems whenever faced or in other words we can say advices train our mind to see the good in everything positivity is a choice and the happiness of our life depends on the quality of our thoughts and advices we opt.
the reward of benevolence comes to the world in the form of benevolence; But a Muslim gets good deeds in the hereafter in return for the goodness of this world. When a Muslim thinks or does good deeds for someone, it increases his admiration and is respected by the people of the world. , People respect it In the Hereafter, too, his position is elevated, his value increases in the sight of God, and he is mentioned among the angels. The Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet (Pbuh ) contain a large number of advices and methods for every section of humanity, and in this regard, the Qur’an mentions the advice of three valuable prophets, Noah, Hud and Saleh, in verses 62 to 79, when they said to their people: We do not ask you for any reward or compensation, but we have come to advise you. There are loopholes in every sector .The healthcare is in shambles’, ‘the country is going through the worst health crisis and the pandemic’, ‘Covid-19 has exposed our ‘below average’ health sector’, .and same is the case with our education sector/ Kashmir University. presently from the last few years, the education sector has been most affected by the epidemic, the student is suffering from depression. The academic course which used to take one or two years to complete is now taking a long time due to which the status of the university is deteriorating. The catalogue of the expectations the people directly or indirectly associated with the university of Kashmir have from prof Nilofar Khan is quite long . Nevertheless , they believe that she will definitely overhaul and update the academic and administrative aspects of the University to a great extent . They pray for her forbearance , fortitude and determination of her and look forward to better academic era in Kashmir .
