SwachVidyalaya Puraskar: DC Reasi chairs meeting of Screening Committee

Reasi : Deputy Commissioner ReasiBabilaRakwal Friday chaired a meeting of the Screening Committee constituted for nomination of schools participating in SwachVidyalayaPuraskar 2021-22.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the SwachhVidyalayaPuraskar (SVP) has been instituted by the Union Ministry of Education to recognize, inspire and celebrate excellence in sanitation and hygiene practices in schools.
BabilaRakwal said the purpose of SVP was to honour Schools that have undertaken significant steps towards fulfilling the mandate of the SwachhVidyalaya Campaign and adhering to the standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
The DC asked the concerned Officers to conduct internal screening of the schools and make sure that all schools participating in SwachhVidyalayaPuraskar have maintained facilities like Sanitation, Hand hygiene system, COVID-19 preparedness and response system.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer SunitaKanchan, Xen PHE, Dy CEO Reasi, representative from Youth Brigade NGO Reasi and other members of this Committee.
