Inter-school zonal level tournament for Girls inaugurated at GGHSS Bhaderwah

Bhaderwah : The Department of Youth Services and Sports zone Bhaderwah Friday organized an inter-school zonal level tournament for girls of all age groups. The tournament began with Volleyball, Badminton, Carrom, Chess, Kho-Kho, and Kabaddi and athletics competitions held in Government Girls Higher Secondary School Bhaderwah.
The Tournament was formally declared open by the Principal of the host school, Bharat Bhushan. A total of 260 girls of Bhaderwah Zone participated in the competitions on day one.
The Principal interacted with the participants and advised them to make physical exercise, games and sports as their routine to stay healthy.
The matches were officiated by the trained officials of the department
In U14, Mehak Mir of UPS Nalthi won Badminton competition by defeating Zainab of UPS Lagsroo, while in U17 ShagunKotwal of HSS Chinta won by defeating Shurity Sharma of GHSS Girls Bhadarwah. In Carrom Board U14 GMS Puneja defeated GMS Halyian.
