Fake Module of ACB Busted: Police

Ang: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday said it busted a fake module of ACB by arresting four persons in Janglatmandi area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Anantnag police in a press statement informed that a fake Module of ACB has been busted today, saying that four persons have been arrested.
The statement issued here reads that On 15-05-2022, Police Post Janglatmandi received a complaint from one person namely Javid Ahmad Dar S/O Ali Mohd Dar resident of Mirgund Khanabal who is the owner of brick kiln at Bulbul Nowgam Anantnag, that four persons with ID Cards of an NGO Namely National Anti Crime,Anti Drugs and investigative intelligence media Service , impersonated as ACB officials came at his brick kiln and demanded bribe of Rs. one lakh and later he gave them Rs 20000.
On receipt of this information case under relevant sections got registered in Police Station Anantnag and Police party from Police Post Janlatmandi swung into action and during course of investigation four accused persons namely Shariq Mohi ud din Sheikh S/O GH Mohi ud din Sheikh, Ameer Hassan Naikoo S/O Gh. Hassan Naikoo both residents of Batgund Dooru, Subzar Ahmad Parry S/O Bashir Ahmad Parry resident of Manzmo Qazigund and Mozin Nazir Bhat S/O Nazir Ahmad Bhat Resident of Nagbal Banihal were arrested.
ID Cards of Crime Investigation and Anti Corruption Bureau (NGO) and 24000 Rs in cash were recovered from their possession and the vehicle bearing registeration number JK19-4377 which was used for the commission of crime was also seized.
Police has requested general public to come forward and assist police in nabbing such elements.
