Chairman DDC Ang holds spl grievance redressal camp at Yanner

Anantnag The Chairman, District Development Council (DDC), Chowdhary Mohammad YousufGorsi Friday visited Yanner, Pahalgam Block where a special grievance redressal camp was held.
ADDC Anantnag Bashir Ahmad Wani was also present on the occasion.
The camp was organized as part of a series of special grievance redressal camps being held to cover all villages enroute the Holy Cave.
The Chairman held discussion with the PRI members and with the general public for smooth conduct of the SANJY-2022. He said that the PRI members and the general public have to play a vital role by providing a normal environment to the pilgrims. He impressed upon the attendees that Pahalgam is a world class tourist resort and known for its hospitality worldwide and urged them to extend the same warmth to the Yatries.
The PRIs and people raised some demands including water supply for Karshangam village, Additional SBM points, availability of Doctors for health and wellness centre, release of material payment of MGNREGA of 2017-18, regular power supply, completion of Martand canal bridge, Tower facilities at Batkoot, street lights for Yanner , Electric wiring for Pahalpora, macadamization of Charigam road, ladies doctor for sub centre Rehskulbal, sanitation at base camps etc.
The ADDC Anantnag discussed the issues raised by the people with officials from concerned departments present at the occasion and exhorted them to redress the grievances on priority. He emphasized on the need to maintain cleanliness within the villages and along the Yatra route. He further directed concerned officials to expedite completion of developmental works.
Later, Gorsi visited Chandanwari to have first appraisal about the facilities being put in place for smooth conduct of ANNUAL AMARANTH YATRA. He directed the BDO and concerned officials for installation of fabricated toilet points at frisking point, Nunwan base camp and at Langanbal Bridge.
Further he emphasized that a proper sanitation plan should be put in place during the conduct of Yatra. He also interacted with local service providers who assured the DDC of their coordination with authorities to ensure smooth conduct of annual amaranth yatra.
ADDC Anantnag, BDO Pahalgam, NaibTehsildar and officials from various line departments accompanied the DDC at Yanner and in Chandanwari.
