DDC Kishtwar chairs DLRC meeting

Kishtwar : A meeting of District Level Review Committee (DLRC)and District Consultative Committee (DCC) was held here Friday under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar Ashok Sharmato review the progress achieved during the FY 2021-22 under Annual District Credit Plan.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Sham Lal; Joint Director Planning, Mohd Iqbal; GM DIC, Khalid Hussain Malik; LDM Kishtwar, Nassir Hussain Bhat; DPO Kishtwar Sunil Bhutyal, ALC Kishtwar Amit Kumar, officers and representatives from various Banks and line departments and other sponsoring agencies operating in Kishtwar.
The housewas informed that credit to the tune of Rs 387 Crore has been disbursed in the district by Banks under priority and non-priority sectors by quarter ended March, 2022 against the target of 349 crore, comprising 42% to priority sector and 68% to Non-Priority Sector.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC emphasized that the line departments and banks operating in the district shall strengthen the IEC activities to educate and sensitize the public about financial literacy, both in rural and urban belts of the District.
Poor performance was observed in respect of Agriculture sector, which needs urgent attention from the banks and concerned departments.
During the meeting it was observed that MSME Sector has shown satisfactory performance and constitutes 94 % achievement.
However, there was dismal performance in other priority sectors other than housing sector and warrant strenuous efforts for progress from the next quarter.
Giving overview of credit disbursement through different schemes, the Lead District Bank Manager informed the house that credit disbursement of Rs 3.35 crore has been provided to 51 beneficiaries under MUMKIN scheme.
Under the PMEGP scheme, a total 919 cases have been sanctioned, out of 1266 sponsored cases, besides Rs. 60.49 crore has been sanctioned among the beneficiaries so far.
The DDC desired to know the reasons from the Banks and sponsoring agencies like KVIB, DIC for return of 328 cases.
It was also informed in the meeting that under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, an amount to the tune of Rs 53.82 crore has been disbursed among 2100 beneficiaries during the FY.
A remarkable progress has been shown in sanctioning of JLG to the BhoomiHeenKissans during the quarter.
The DDC stressed upon the bankers particularly J&K Bank to achieve 100 target in Aadhar seeding of the DBT beneficiaries by next month and in this regard, LDM will report weekly to the District Administration of the progress.
The meeting ended with a note that banks should work tirelesslyto achieve the ACP in the ensuing financial year and in this endeavour sponsoring agencies/Departments and banks should work proactively and in coordinated manner so that maximum beneficiaries will be benefited with the Govt and other banks schemes which will ultimately solve unemployment issuein the district.
Moreover, banks should submit the required data to LDM without any delay so that monthly review will be taken timely.
