FCS&CA-K seals 01 Goldsmith, 03 Bakery Shops in Srinagar

Srinagar : The Enforcement squad of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department under the leadership of Assistant Director Enforcement, Mushtaq Ahmad Wani Tuesday sealed one Goldsmith shop at H.S.H Street and three renowned Bakery/Cafe shops for violating various norms, besides the team also recovered a penal sum of Rs. 12,100 from eight erring shopkeepers.
The action against the erring was taken during market checking drive conducted in various areas of Srinagar City like¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬SafaKadal, KhonaKhann, Chattabal, Qamarwari, SMHS hospital, Karan Nagar, H.S.H Street, LalChowk, LalMandiRajbagh etc.
During market checking 61 business establishments were inspected and a penal sum of Rs. 12,100 has been collected as fine from eight erring shopkeepers for violation of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
Besides, one Goldsmith shop at H.S.H Street has been sealed for violating the norms of hallmark standard, and non-availability of requisite license. Moreover, three renowned Bakery/Cafe shops are also sealed for overcharging.
