DDC Chairperson, DC preside-over mega public outreach programme at Gutlibagh, G’bal

G’bl : The District Development Council (DDC) Chairperson, NuzhatIshfaq and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir Wednesday jointly presided over a mega public outreach programme at Gutlibagh, here.
As a part of Weekly Block Diwas, a mega public outreach program was held by district administration Ganderbal at Gutlibagh which witnessed overwhelming participation of locals including PRIs who apprised the DDC Chairperson and DC about various issues and grievances and sought their intervention for early redressal.
DDC members and BDC chairperson Ganderbal were also present on the occasion.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Farooq Ahmad Baba, ASP, ACR, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti and other field functionaries of various departments were present during the camp.
The PRIs and locals apprised the duo about various issues like water scarcity in the area, better health and education facilities, up gradation of Boys Secondary School Gutlibagh, macadamization of roads, public transport and banking facility, lift irrigation facility, and other related issues concerning their respective areas.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC assured the PRIs that all their genuine issues would be taken into consideration in a time bound manner adding that regular feedback would be taken from concerned departments regarding the redressal of genuine issues pertaining to their departments. Besides, the demands which could not be redressed at district level would be forwarded to the higher authorities for the redressal, he added.
Regarding the portable water issue in the areas, the DC directed the concerned department to submit a detailed report to his office in this regard.
The DDC Chairperson also assured the locals that the issues and demands put forth would be taken up with the concerned departments for timely redressal.
