DCO Ramban seals 4 unauthorized medical stores in Gool area

Ramban : Drug Control Officer (DCO), RambanImtiyaz Ahmed Monday conducted an extensive inspection in far-flung area of Sub-division Gool.
He inspected medical shops in different villages of Gool and adjoining areas, which includes Salbala, JammanHara etc.
During the inspection, the Drug Inspector sealed 4 medical stores on the spot under section 22(d) of Drugs & Cosmetic Act 1940 for violation of various provisions of Drugs and Cosmetic Rules 1945.
Statutory drug samples of 02 drug formulations were lifted from the market for determining their strength and purity. These samples will be referred to the Drug Testing Laboratory for framing legal opinions to ascertain their quality parameters.
Further it was impressed upon the chemist fraternity to follow the provisions of Drugs and Cosmetic act and rules thereunder in letter and spirit failing which the department shall be constrained to initiate action against the violators.
The Drug Inspector requested the people of such areas to cooperate and keep an eye on such persons/Medical Stores who they can find as drug peddlers and selling the intoxicating drugs to the youth and young generation. Meanwhile the Phone No. /Watsapp No. has been shared with the Locals/People so as to make contact any time to deal with such unethical trade practices.
