SWD Director-General reviews functioning of department in Rajouri distt

DG SWD also Inspects provision of basic amenities in Bal Ashrams

Rajouri : Director General Social Welfare Department Jammu, Vivek Sharma Saturday conducted an extensive tour of Rajouri district and reviewed the functioning of the department.
During the tour, the Director General visited Bal Ashram at Sunderbani and Bal Ashram at Nowshera and reviewed the facilities being provided to the inmates there.
She also directed the staff of the Ashram to ensure proper cleanliness and better facilities to the inmates.
While inquiring about the functioning of the hostel mess, she directed the hostel administration to maintain cleanliness in and around the hostel and serve a healthy diet to the inmates.
The Director General also interacted with the inmates and urged the students to give priority to education, dream big and work hard with dedication and determination to achieve the desired goals of their life.
Meanwhile, the Director General also chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the functioning of the department.
She reviewed the status of various schemes being implemented by the department in the district and asked the concerned officers to work in a synergised manner to ensure that the benefits of the welfare schemes reach to the last beneficiary of the district.
She also directed to give wide publicity to all the schemes and welfare programs being implemented by the department in the district and ensure coverage of all eligible beneficiaries under the same.
Officers who attended the meeting included DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; TSWOs and other concerned officers.
