Kupwara : A National LokAdalat was Saturday organised across District Kupwara in which 5790 cases of different natures were put up, out of which 5054 cases were amicably settled, realising an amount of about Rs.62.74 lacs.
A total of eight benches were constituted by chairman DLSA, Mr.TasleemArief, (Principal District & Sessions Judge Kupwara) across the district including Sessions court Kupwara, Sub Judge/ Secretary DLSA Kupwara, Sub Judge Court Kupwara, Munsif Court Kupwara, CJM Handwara, MunsifHandwara, Sub Judge Court Trehgam, Munsif Court Sogam, Kralpora and Tangdar.
The LokAdalats were held under the instructions of National Legal Services Authority of India and supervision of JK Legal Services Authority.
The different cases which were taken up in the LokAdalat include civil, matrimonial, maintenance, domestic violence, recovery of money or loan, Motor accident compensation, revenue, criminal compoundable and cheque bounce cases etc across court complexes of District Kupwara.
