Missing lady traced out in Budgam: Police

“Kidnapped girl of Rajouri recovered, kidnapper arrested”

B’gam : Police on Saturday said that it has traced a missing lady from the KunzerTangmarg area of Baramulla and also recovered a kidnapped girl of Rajouri and arrested the accused person involved in the crime from the Chadoora area of Budgam.
In a statement issued on Saturday police said that police Station Khag received a written complaint from a person hailing from Kokerbagh Khag who alleged therein his wife is missing since 11/05/2022.
Police in its statement further said that a missing report was lodged in PS Khag and search was launched swiftly by a team from PS Khag headed by SHO PS Khag.
“After strenuous efforts and utilizing all available technical as well as human resources, the missing lady was traced from Kunzer Tangmarg area of district Baramulla”, reads the police statement, adding that “After completion of all legal formalities, she was handed over to her legal heirs.
Stating further that Police across J&K received a communication from District Police Rajouri to the effect that on “May 12, a lady namely Priyanka Devi wife of Kashmir Singh resident of Gadyoge Khawas Rajouri was reportedly kidnapped by Bachan Kumar son of Kewal Krishan of same village regarding which a DD report was registered at Police Station Khawas district Rajouri.
Police said that taking serious note of the communication, Police in Budgam generated specific inputs by utilizing all available means regarding the presence of kidnapper Bachan Kumar along with the kidnapped lady in their jurisdictional area, stating therein further that acting swiftly, police party recovered the kidnapped lady and also arrested the kidnapper from the Awanpora area of Chadoora. Police in it’s statement also said that subsequently, both were handed over to the police team of Rajouri for further course of action.
