2nd National Lok Adalat organized at Budgam

B’gam :2nd National LokAdalat was Saturdayorganizedin District Budgam which was inaugurated by Chairman District Legal Services Authority Budgam Mohammad Ashraf Malik at District Court Complex.
Court had identified cases for the LokAdalat beforehand and the same were placed before eightdifferent benches constituted by DLSA Budgam for settlement in National LokAdalat.
Cases for settlement included cases of Civil, Criminal Compoundable, Cheque bounce, Bank matters, MACT, Land Compensation, Matrimonial, Tenancy, Electricity and Pre-litigation matters.
A total number of 25,000 pre-litigation matters were taken up amongst which 18,853 number of pre-litigation matters were settled. It included pre-litigation petitions, PDD matters, bank recovery matters, PHE cases, Social Welfare Schemes, matrimonial disputes, land disputes, BSNL cases, municipality cases and other Government schemes etc. including Old Age Pension, Widow Pension, Physically Challenged Persons, Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension, National Family Pension Scheme Pradhan MantriAwaazYoujna, scholarships including pre-matric, post-matric and merit cum means scholarship cases etc.
Moreover, an amount of Rs. 06 crore 45 lacs has been realized in pre litigations matters.
Also, 342 post-litigation matters were taken up for their amicable settlement out of which 159 matters were settled.
Besides, 25567 matters were taken up for their amicable settlement, out of which 19012 matters were settled.
Besides, an amount of Rs. 7 crore 67 lacs was realized in toto in the settlement.
