1818 cases settled at National Lok Adalat Reasi

Reasi : Under the insightful directions of Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey, Executive Chairman, JKLSA and radiant guidance of R.N. Watal Chairman DLSA Reasi (Pr. District & Sessions Judge Reasi) District Legal Services Authority Reasi Saturday organized Second National LokAdalat of the calendar year, 2022 in District Reasi.
Five Benches were constituted for settling the referred cases. Bench No.1 consisted of R.N. Watal, Pr. District & Sessions Judge Reasi, Rekha Kapoor Nischal, Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Reasi and Advocate K.K. Dubey; Bench No.2 consisted of Sudesh Sharma, Chief Judicial Magistrate (Sub-Judge), Reasi, Arti Devi, Munsiff, Reasi and Advocate R.K. Sharma; Bench No. 3 consisted of Priyanka Mahajan, Additional Mobile Magistrate and Advocates RashiBaru, and Shazia Punjabi; Bench no.4 comprised of Manoj Kumar Parihar, Sub Judge, Katra, Sandeep Sen, Munsiff, Katra and Advocate AkhilPrashar, President Bar Association, Katra and Bench No. 5 consisted of Mahavir Singh, Munsiff, Mahore, Advocate Abdul Gani Bhatt, President Bar Association, Mahore and Advocate S.S. Sahni, Tehsil, Mahore.
The matters placed before the Benches included Civil, Criminal Compoundable, Cheque Bounce, Recovery matters, MACT, Matrimonial, Public Utility Services, Prelitigation matters and also Traffic challans.
A total of 1974 cases were taken up for amicable settlement out of which 1818 cases were settled and an amount of Rs 1,46,39,414 was realized as settlement amount.
1177 vaccinated, 1676 samples collected in Ramban
Enforcement teams recover Rs 1600 fine from violators
Ramban : As per a report issued by the District Immunization Officer, Ramban, Dr Suresh, the Health Department Saturday administered covid vaccine doses to 1177 persons including 535 children in the 15-17 year age group and 347 in the 12-14 year age group in the district.
Continuing the enforcement drive to implement Covid protocol, the Enforcement teams fined scores of violators for roaming without wearing face masks and not maintaining physical distance.
The enforcement teams, during the inspection in their respective jurisdictions, recovered a fine of Rs. 1600 from violators. The Enforcement officers urged the people to wear face masks and maintain physical distance besides taking Covid vaccination doses at their nearest CVC.
As per daily bulletin issued by the Chief Medical Officer, Ramban, Dr. Mohammad Fareed Bhat, the Health Department also collected 1676 samples including 505 RT-PCR and 1171 RAT samples.
DC Poonch inspects Development work, Educational, Health institution in Block Bufliaz
Poonch: District Development Commissioner Poonch, InderJeet Saturday conducted an extensive tour of block Bufliaz of Tehsil Surankote where he inspected ongoing developmental works, Educational and Health Institution.
SDM Surankote, Naheem-Un-Nissa Bhatti, TehsildarSurankote, Sheraz Ahmed, AEE BRO, HarvindOjhey, GirdawarsHalqas, Patwaries and other concerned officers accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.
The local delegation also met the DC and complained about dumping of the muck by a contractor of BRO on the construction site causing hindrance in the smooth movement of traffic. They sought the intervention of the DC in addressing the problem. The Deputy Commissioner directed BRO authorities to remove the muck from the road within 10 days and take help of local administration and PRIs for identifying a suitable dumping place elsewhere.
A group of locals also appealed to the Deputy Commissioner to review the alignment of the road from MirzaMorh to JNV. The Deputy Commissioner directed the tehsildar to come to his office along with the stakeholders/sarpanches of the respective areas and show them the approved Map of the subject road from the Ministry of Defense (MOD).
Later, the Deputy Commissioner along with SDM and TehsildarSurankote and field revenue staff visited Bufliaz area and inspected the progress of construction of the road. They also inspected Government Middle School Dogrian, Hr. Sec. School Buflia, Primary School Bufliaz, Girls Primary School left Bufliaz, ZEO office Bufliaz and PHC Bufliaz.
The Deputy Commissioner expressed dismay over lack of available records regarding different schools/ institutions of the zone. He directed the SDM to take action against the ZEO and examine the leave of the staff of these institutions. He further directed to verify the order of the staff which has been shown on deputation.
On his return, the Deputy Commissioner conducted a surprise inspection of Sub Divisional Hospital Surankote. He took a round of different wards and inspected the casualty section and Jan Ashudya Kendra.
On finding shortage of stocks in the Kendra, the BMO was directed to get the issue settled within a week time positively. The SDM was directed to take similar necessary action with respect to the staff of Sub Division Hospital Surankote.
The Deputy Commissioner directed that BMO Surankote will nominate one doctor as nodal officer to look after the availability and stock of medicine in the Jan Ashudiyakendra.
