Shopian : Organised on the instructions of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Shopian, Gurmukh Singh Dutta, the Inter-School District level Tournament of Volleyball, Kabaddi and Kho-Kho U-19 Years for Girls concluded Friday at Sports Stadium Batapora, here.
In Volleyball, Government Higher Secondary School Imamsahib defeated Government Higher Secondary School Turkawangam, in Kabaddi Government Higher Secondary School Shopian beat Government Higher Secondary School Sedowand in Kho-Kho Government Higher Secondary School Imamsahib beat Government Higher Secondary School Shopian.
Earlier, students were given a brief description about the benefits of these games and how they help children to develop social skills such as communication, sharing, waiting, taking turns and enjoying the company of others in the game.
