SKUAST-Jammu organising NCW sponsored trainings for women

SKUAST –J hosts virtual conference on Govt schemes for promotion of agri-enterprise

Jammu : Division of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, SKUAST- Jammu, R.S. Pura is going to organize twelve (5 day each) training programmes in the financial year 2022-23 to empower rural women through capacity building in livestock farming.
Prof. J. P. Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu apprised the media that these trainings are sponsored by National Commission for Women (NCW), Govt. of India, New Delhi under its capacity building programmes.
In each training session, 30 selected farm women engaged in livestock rearing/handling activities, aged between 18-50 years with minimal literacy (5th pass or above) will be provided hands-on training on livestock farming with practical exposure.
Dr. M.S. Bhadwal, Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, SKUAST- Jammu, R.S.
