Secy ARI &T Deptt sets timelines for achieving Deliverables at a key meet in Srinagar

Officers asked to ensure end-to-end Digitization of departmental services

Srinagar : Secretary, Administrative Reforms, Inspections and Trainings (ARI&T) department, Amit Sharma Friday chaired sequel of meetings to meet the timelines for the Deliverables recently approved in the Administrative Council meeting.
During the first meeting, the Secretary directed the officers that complete overhauling of department is need of the hour besides improvisation of existing Websites of the department including Ranbir Press Jammu‘s website as well as newly created website of Government Press Srinagar with the support of NIC J&K is necessary so that they can be dedicated to the public at the earliest. He asked the officers for early finalisation of end-to-end Digitization of departmental services such as processing Migration cases of MBBS students, NDC issuance to retiring employees etc with an objective to eliminate human interface and paper-work.
The Secretary remarked that with the introduction of end-to-end digitization, Department can utilise its potential and channelize its inertia in actual core activities such as Finalization of Recruitment Rules of All Departments, Conduct of Administrative and Financial Inspections of all Departments and Capacity Building of Government Employees working at different levels of hierarchy.
In another meeting, the Secretary held a thorough discussion on the timelines in Deliverables recently approved on Administrative Council. He directed the officers to submit plans for same according to the nature of respective deliverables as per pre-approved timelines.
During the meeting, the process towards making RTI Services Online was also deliberated upon and the officers of the department were directed to initiate a proposal on the pattern of the procedure being followed for same in the rest of the states and Union Territories.
DG, Stationery & office supplies, Dr Kabir; Secretary BOPEE, DrFirdousGiri; Director Finance, Mohd Ashraf Shaheen; GM Government Press Srinagar, Aijaz Akhoon; GM Ranbir Press Jammu, Purshotam Sharma; Additional Secretaries, ARI&T, MuriedHussain Shah and Sunaina Sharma and other officers of the department besides Salim Khan, SIO J&K NIC and other senior officers of NIC department also participated in the meeting.
