GDC Shopian organizes Annual Cycle Race event

Shopian : The Physical Education and Sports department of Imtiyaz Memorial Government Degree College Shopian Thursdayorganized an Annual Cycle Race event.
The race was flagged-off by Prof.Tajamul Islam at 6:30 am in presence of teaching and non-teaching staff of the college. The race was started from college campus and culminated at CausewaySehpora Shopian.
In the Event Wani Salman of 5th Sem bagged1st position, Sajad Ahmad Mir of 2nd Sem and Aaqib Ahmad Dar of 2nd Sem secured 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
Adequate and elaborate arrangements were made by the Sports Committee of the college to make the event a memorable and a successful one with the help of Health department.
Later, the prize distribution ceremony was held at college campus where the first, second and third position holders were awarded trophies and medals by the senior faculty members along with Convener Sports Committee of the college.
Principal of the college applauded the efforts of Convener Sports Dr. Umar Farooq and Syed LatiefSharief (Physical Director) for making the event a successful one. He also praised the efforts of Health department in smooth conduct of the programme.
