GDC Dudu -Basantgarh organizes poster making on internet security

Udhampur : Government Degree College DuduBasantgarh, Wednesday organized a poster making competition on the theme “Internet Security” under an initiative undertaken by Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (14C).
As many as 10 students took part in the competition and displayed their talent and knowledge on cyber security through their posters.
The 1st prize was bagged by RajinderKhajuria of Sem-2nd, 2nd prize was clinched by Santoshi Devi and 3rd position went to Surjeet Kumar besides consolation prizes were also given to the participants.
Addressing the students, Principal of the college Dr. B C Anthal advised the students to beware of fraudulent calls, texts messages, and emails. He also asked them never to share any OTP or any other secret or confidential keys related to Banking and other e-services.
The programme was organized by Prof. Rahul Sharma, Prof. Pradeep Kumar, Prof Vijay Kumar and Dr. PP Singh, while Dr Mudassir Ahmad and Aastha Gupta acted as jury members.
DC Kathua listens to people’s issues at weekly block diwas meeting in Hiranagar
Kathua : To listen to the people’s issues and grievances at their door steps, Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey on Wednesday held a Public Grievance Redressal Camp at PWD Rest House, Hiranagar under weekly Block Diwas programme.
The programme witnessed huge participation of people, PRIs from Hiranagar and adjoining areas. They put forth issues related to their respective panchayat and sought the intervention of the Deputy Commissioner for redressal of the same.
Chairperson Block Development Council Hiranagar, Ram LalKalia; DDC Member HiranagarAbhinandan Sharma; SDM Rakesh Sharma and other District/Sectoral officers were also present.
Public projected demands related to potable water supply, road connectivity, augmentation of power distribution infrastructure, release of pending MGNREGA liability.
After giving patient hearing to the grievances and demands raised by the public, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned District Officers to redress the projected grievances of the peoplein a time-bound manner.
He also assured the gathering that all genuine demands and issues projected by them falling under the purview of district administration would be looked into for immediate redressal, while issues requiring intervention of higher authorities will be taken up at the appropriate forums.
Deputy Commissioner also called upon the people to feel free to visit his office for projecting their genuine issues and grievances requiring intervention from district administration.
Similarly, block diwas proceedings were also held at Billawar and Basohli sub divisions.
DC Udhampur presides over weekly Block Diwas meeting

Udhampur : To take governance to the doorsteps of people and to speed up the grievances redressal mechanism at all levels, Deputy Commissioner, UdhampurKrittikaJyotsna conducted a weekly block Diwas meeting here at Conference Hall DC Office Complex Udhampur and listened to scores of public issues and demands.
Divisional Forest Officer; ShavetaJandial; Assistant Commissioner Development, Dharam Paul; Block development Officer, Amit Kumar; Tehsildar, Amit Verma and other District officers besides PRIs of different Panchayats participated in the weekly Block Diwas program.
Sarpanches and Panches hailing from different Panchayats of Block Udhampurprojected several demands and issues of public importance. They demanded Widening of SambalChakhar road, Repair of hand pumps, meeting paucity of drinking water supply, Installation of power transformers to improve voltage, Black topping of link roads, Filling of Potholes and repair of Round Domail to Battal Road, Construction of boundary wall at GHSS Battal, release of funds for construction of PanchayatGhars, Land Compensation, Installation of high mast lights and marking of zebra crossing on Highway, Construction of flyover, Opening of Dispensary, Maintenance of Kashirah road, improvement of drainage in Kashirah, establishment of Veterinary Centre at Kotli Bala, early completion of filter plant, provision of electric poles and transformers, posting of doctor in PHC Mansaretc.
Responding to the demands, the DC assured PRIs that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner. She directed the officers to work in coordination for equitable development of all Panchayats in the district.
The DC urged the PRIs to start the estimation process of development works in their respective Blocks/panchayats with the help of BDOs for meeting the targets set under the current annual Plan.
The DC also sought feedback from PRIs about the ongoing developmental works. Many grievances were redressed on the spot by intervention /directions to officers of concerned departments. The DC askedthe officers to note downthe demands and redress them on priority basis.
