DDC Poonch listens to people’s concerns at Sawjian

Assures time-bound redress of genuine demands

Poonch : District Administration Poonch, under the headship of District Development Commissioner, InderJeet, organised a Block Diwas programme at Government Hr. Sec. School Sawjian, in block Mandi and listened to public issues.
The programme witnessed overwhelming response of the public from all walks of life.
The people in large numbers of Block Mandi and adjoining areas projected their demands.
The PRI members and locals projected development related issues including augmentation of water and power supply, Medicare facility and several specific issues. They demanded meeting shortage of staff in Government Hr. Sec. School Sawjian, a ration depot in each Panchayat, early completion of GanterMorh to Hr. Sec. School Sawjian bridge, 24×7 service in PHC, black-topping of GaliMaidan to Danna road under BRO, PanchayatGhar for Sawjian-A, installation of Hand pumps, holding of camp for providing aids to disabled persons, Anganwari centre for Pralkote, completion of ParalkoteKheth to ParalkoteKirni road, uninterrupted supply of water & Light to Danna, introduction of Science stream in Hr. Sec. School Sawjian and other developmental related issues.
After listening to the issues of the locals, the DC redressed many grievances on the spot and in this regard passed a slew of directions to the concerned officers for early redressal of the same. He assured the public that all their genuine grievances shall be redressed in a time-bound manner.
He directed the officers to work in coordination so that equitable development is ensured.
The concerned officers also addressed the public and assured early redress of issues.
The CEO education assured to take-up the demand for introduction of science stream in Hr. Sec. School sawjian and also appealed to the locals to get benefit of the government scholarship and other schemes.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the CEO education to fill the vacancy of staff as per need.
People of the area thanked the Deputy Commissioner for organizing the public grievances redressal camp in the far flung area.
On the occasion, DDC Member, Mandi, Atiqa Jan also presented a public grievances memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner.
During the tour, the Deputy Commissioner inspected various developmentalroad projects and also visited the Horticulture nursery in block Mandi.

Azam Rather and other concerned officers were present.
