Cutting & Tailoring Centre for SHG members of JKRLM inaugurated at Achan, Pulwama

Pulwama : In order to generate employment among women and make them self-reliant, Programme Managers of NRLM Pulwama and Pampore, Arsheed Ahmad Bhat and Aijaz Ahmad Wani Wednesday inaugurated a Cutting and Tailoring Centre for SHG members of JKRLM at Achan, Pulwama.
The Programme Manager JKRLM Pulwama said that the programme organized by JK Rural Livelihoods Mission marked enthusiastic participation of the unemployed women of the area.
The participants were given training for cutting and stitching. The resource person also received feedback from the participants for further improvement of the training.
Programme Manager NRLM Pulwama complimented the efforts of Community Cadre for their interest, adding that these programmes benefit the unemployed women more especially dropout girls in order to become self-reliant and self-dependent.
He emphasized that women can utilize their free time and can generate additional income through the tailoring profession sitting at home.
He also informed that such programmes will be organized in future also with female trainers so that the female participants do not feel shy and interact freely to learn the difficult steps of tailoring.
While as Programme Manager NRLM Pampore also urged all the participants to make full use of this opportunity and also assured full cooperation from BMMU in order to uplift their socio-economic status.
