Block Diwas: DC presides over grievances redressal camp at Kulgam

Says “People also apprised about the Amrit Sarovar initiative”

Kulgam: To listen to issues, grievances and demands of people for their timely redressal, the District Administration Kulgam Wednesday organized Mega Block diwas functions at three blocks of the district viz. Devsar, D.H.Pora, and Kulgam.
The Deputy Commissioner Kulgam (DC) Kulgam, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat presided over the grievance redressal camp at Kulgam.
The programme was attended by a number of delegations, civil society members, PRI representatives and scores of individuals besides government officers.
At the outset of the programme, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kulgam, Mohmmad Imran Khan gave a brief of action taken on the issue and grievances raised in previous block Diwas.
He also sensitized participants about the AmritSarovar Initiative and said that under this initiative, 75 water bodies will be developed and rejuvenated in the district.
The participating delegations, civil society members, PRI representatives and individuals highlighted a number of issues and grievances including shifting of HT line from Behibagh and macadamisation of various links roads besides identification of Garbage dumping site in the area, desilting of irrigation canal sarbuji and widening of road at Wanpora, development of roads and playfield at Nandimarg, bore well near mosque at Aadpora.
Officers on spot responded to the queries and issues pertaining to their departments.
The DC after giving patient hearing to the public issues and grievances redressed scores of grievances on spot. He also directed officers to go for field visits and interact with people and get first hand appraisal of their issues pertaining to their departments for early redressal.
Block diwas functions were also held at Devsar and D.H.Pora blocks where officers listened to the issues and grievances of people for redressal.
