Handwara/May, 12: Police on Thursday said it has arrested three suspects and also recovered narcotics from their possession.
In a statement issued on Thursday police said that In order to contain the menace of illicit sale of narcotics, Handwara Police recovered charas like substance and arrested three persons.
Stating that a police party of Police Station Kralgund while on naka checking at Rasripora on Baramulla-Handwara road apprehended three persons who had attempted to evade the police party in a suspicious manner, police in it’s statement said that during searches around 306 grams of Charas like substance was recovered from possession of the said accused .
“The said accused have been identified as 1. Asif Rasool Khan S/o Gh Rasool Khan; 2. Arif Ahmad Najar S/o Ab Aziz both residents of Beigpora Kralgund and, 3. Muzafar Ahmad Bhat S/o Reyaz Ahmad R/o Kralgund”, reads the police statement, adding that “FIR No.26/2022 under relevant section of NDPS Act has been registered at PS Kralgund”, stating therein further that the accused arrested and investigation initiated.
In the concluding para of it’s above referred statement police appealed people to share information related to drug peddling so that appropriate action under law can be initiated.
