Distt Level Volleyball, Kabaddi& Kho-Kho U-19 Boys Competition held at Shopian

Shopian : The Inter-School District level competition in the discipline of Volleyball, Kabaddi and Kho-Kho U-19 Boy’s was held Tuesday at Sports Stadium, here.
The Tournament was inaugurated by the District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Shopian, Gurmukh Singh Dutta.
Earlier, DYSSO interacted with the students and gave a brief description about the importance of conducting sports competitions. He also explained the benefits of playing different games.
He said that games help children to develop social skills such as communication, sharing, waiting, taking turns and enjoying the company of others.
DC Doda flags off girls Taekwondo Team to MP for 13th Open National Taekwondo Championship
Doda : Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma on Tuesday flagged off Girls Taekwondo Team to MP for 13th Open National Taekwondo Championship being held from 13th to 15th May, 2022. The event is being organised by Madhya Pradesh Taekwondo Association under the aegis of Taekwondo Federation of India.
The Girls team has been selected by the District Doda Taekwondo Association based on the performance of the athletes at recently concluded trial camp. The trials were held under the supervision of President DDTA Junaid Khan.
The DC interacted with the Coach of the J&K Team for the said event Burhan Khan (Chief Coach of Doda) and all the athletes. He wished them luck and assured full support for the event.
Theteam of District Doda Rutba Majid, Zikra Fatima and Khadija UlQubra willcompete at their respective weight categories in the event.
