G’bal : Central University of Kashmir (CUK) Vice Chancellor, Prof. Farooq Ahmad Shah, Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar, Dean School of Media Studies, Prof. Shahid Rasool Tuesday congratulated Ms. Sana Irshad Matto, for winning Pulitzer Prize 2022 in the category of Feature Photography along with the other three photojournalists of Reuters.
Ms Sanna Matto is a 2015-17 batch student of the Department of Convergent Journalism (DCJ).
Vice Chancellor, Prof. Farooq Ahmad Shah extended congratulations to Ms Sanna Matto for bagging the prestigious award. “It is a proud moment for CUK and her achievement will inspire other students as well,” he said.
Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar hailed Ms Sanna Matto for winning the award. “The awards in any category are won by sheer hard work and perseverance,” he said and asked the students and pass outs to put in their best efforts in their respective fields.
Dean School of Media Studies, congratulated Ms. Sana Matto for achieving the feat and also hailed the department for producing quality journalists, photo and videographers.
