Hybrid LeT militants arrested in B’la, Arms & ammunition recovered: Police

Baramulla  Police on Monday said that it has arrested a hybrid militant of LeT militant outfit in Baramulla and also recovered arms and ammunition from his possession.
In a statement issued on Monday police said that Baramulla Police along with Army (52RR), CRPF (53Bn) and SSB (2ndBn) during routine MVCP established near Juhama crossing Baramulla intercepted one suspicious person who on seeing the party tried to flee from the spot but the suspect was tactfully apprehended by the joint alert party and has been identified as Tawheed Ahmad Haroon son of Late Khazir Mohammad resident of Delina Ghat, Baramulla.
Stating that upon searching, incriminating materials, arms and ammunition including 1 Pistol, 1 Pistol Magazine, 9 live Pistol rounds were recovered from the possession of the said militant associate, Police in it’s statement
further said that during the preliminary investigation the detained militant was found to have obtained the said illegal arms & ammunition with the intention to carry out militant activities in Baramulla and it’s adjacent areas.
Police in it’s statement further said that a case under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigation has been taken up.
