Chairperson DDC Kishtwar chairs maiden General Distt Dev Council meeting of Fiscal Year 2022-23

Kishtwar : The first General District Development Council meeting for this fiscal year was Monday held here at conference Hall DC office complex Mini Secretariat under the Chairpersonship of the Chairperson, District Development Council, Kishtwar Pooja Thakur wherein all the Block Development Council chairmen and District Development Council members took part.
Besides, CEO District Development Council/Additional District Development Commissioner, Sham Lal, Joint Director Planning Mohammad Iqbal; GM DIC Dr Khalid Hussain Malik; ACP ZakirHussain Wani; ACD AtulDutt Sharma; DPO Sunil Bhutyal besides other Key officers of line Departments also remained present.
At the outset, the Chairperson, District Development Council took feedback on the action taken on the issues raised by General Council members in the previous council meetings, besides various other developmental issues were also discussed in the meeting.
The CEO District Dev. Council (ADDC) apprised the council about the progress made with regardto the action taken on the issues raised in the previous meeting.
He also informed the meetingthat the majority of the grievances and issues have been redressed and the work on the rest of the grievances is under progress.
DDC, chairperson, stressed all the officers to work in a collective and collaborative manner with the members of District Development Council to redress the grievances of people effectively.
The CEO District Development Council also briefed the meeting about the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) in detail.
Besides XEn, JJM also informed about theprogress in the implementation of the JalJeevan Mission in the district.
Chairperson, DDC Kishtwar called for effective implementation of JJM in the District and public participation in the formulation of Water Supply schemes in the district.
Meanwhile, the house passed two resolutions seeking mandatory attendance of the district officers in general District Development Council meetings and presence of block level officers in the Block level council meetings.
The house resolved that any district officer found absent in the council meeting without the prior permissions will face strict action.
The second resolution passed by the council was related to the filling up of the vacant posts in the health department viz in PHCs and SCs particularly inthe far flung areas of Dachhan, Marwah, Warwan, Paddar, Bounjwah and Kuntwara.
The CEO District Development Council Kishtwar assured that these resolutions will be submitted to the concerned quarters for immediate implementation.
Later, BDCs and DDCs raised theissues and grievances of their respective areas. They demanded up-gradation of infrastructure in Health, Education, road connectivity and Rural Development sectors.
CEO, DDC Kishtwar assured them that their issues have been recorded and relevant action will be taken to resolve/redress them by taking the concerned officers on board.
The Chairperson DDC stressed upon the Chief Agriculture Officerto conduct camps under the project SAMPAN across the district to benefit the farmers.
Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat ZakirHussain Wani informed the house that a total 2391 works including 441 SOS works shall be taken up against an allotted amount of Rs 4494.80 Crs in the district.
The estimation process has already been initiated and work shall be put on tender immediately, he informed.
Later, the DCC chairperson directed all the District and sectoral officers and executing agencies in particular to expedite the pace of works to achieve the set targets.
