Kulgam: To facilitate unemployed youth to establish a sustainable livelihood in the transport sector, 15 small commercial vehicles were Monday distributed among the unemployed youth of the district under Mumkin scheme of Mission Youth programme at District Employment and Counseling Centre (DE&CC) Kulgam.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud- Din Bhat handed over keys to these beneficiaries during the distribution ceremony.
Present on the occasion were ACR Kulgam, Mir ImtiyazUl Aziz, AD Employment NowshadAnjum Mir and other officers.
The Assistant Director Employment said that Under Mission Youth programme Government is providing sustainable livelihood to unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir and small commercial vehicles are provided to the unemployed youth with the total 20 percent subsidy of the on road price provided jointly by Government of Jammu and Kashmir and Vehicle Manufacturers.
He informed that so far 112 small commercial vehicles were provided to beneficiaries in the district with an road price of 9.76 crore and containing subsidy component of 1.78 crores.
