Regional Director orders inquiry against trade unionist Gh Rasool Geelani for misconduct

Srinagar : Regional Director Social Forestry Department Kashmir has directed Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Social Forestry Division Kupwara to hold an inquiry against In charge Block Officer Kupwara Gh Rasool Geelani on charges of misconduct leveled against in a complaint received and verified by the department . Geelani happens to a be a trade unionist as he is head of one of the factions of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC).
In a letter addressed to Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) , Social Forestry Division Kupwara the Regional Director Social Forestry Department Kashmir has directed him to inquire into the charges of misconduct against Gh Rasool Geelani Incharge Block Officer Officer and submit a report with recommendations within two days. The letter has been forwarded on May 5 to Divisional Forest Official, Social Forestry Division Kupwara.
According to the letter Geelani is facing charges of provoking employees against District Social Conservation Kupwara and a visit to Delhi without seeking any permission through proper channel in violation of “CSR and departmental rules”. Regional Director has asked the Divisional Forest Official, Social Forestry Division Kupwara to treat the issue of the said inquiry as most urgent.
