Pulwama| : The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Tral, Shabir Ahmad Raina Saturday led a massive anti-encroachment drive from Sheerabad to Arigam villages of Tral in Pulwama district.

The anti-encroachment squad removed the encroachment from the patch of land besides clearing encroachment on 1km.
It was given out that a pathway will be provided to the Zamindars of both the villages for smooth agricultural activities.
Speaking about the preservation of Government land, the ADC Tral said anti-encroachment drives will continue in all the parts of the Sub district to retrieve entire State and Kahcharai lands encroached by the land grabbers. He said involvement in land encroachment will be dealt with sternly in accordance with the law.
The ADC sought cooperation of the general public in its action against encroachments and also warned of action under CrPC/LRA in matters of encroachment on State/Kahcharie lands.
Tehsildar Tral, NaibTehsildar Tral, Revenue staff and zamindars of both villages were also present on the spot.
One-day Awareness/ Registration Camp held at Tahab, Pulwama
Pulwama : A one day Artisan Awareness cum Registration Camp was Saturday organised by Assistant Director Handicrafts/Handloom at Tahab village of Pulwama.
Artisans/weavers from village Tahab, Nair, Lassipora, Tumlahal, Zasow and Tantraypora participated in the event.
The AD Handicrafts/Handloom Pulwama, M Yaseen Bhat spoke on the occasion and awarded artisans about various schemes/ benefits provided by the deptt. He also held an extensive interaction with the artisans and listened to the grievances of the craftsmen and assured timely/prompt redressal of their genuine demands/grievances.
Besides individual schemes, artisans were informed about formation of cooperative societies and reaping its benefits.
In the end, 25 Artisan Registration Cards were issued on the spot and handed over to the artisans.
