Samba : District Hub for Empowerment of Women MahilaSashaktikaran Kendra (MSK), Samba organized an awareness programme at Village PakhriPanchayat of KesoManhasa.
The programme was attended by Panchs Shardha Sharma,Gurmeet Singh and more than 40 local women.
The main aim of the programme was to sensitize the Rural Women regarding Women Centric and Government Welfare Scheme.
Dr.Ruchi Thakur, Women Welfare Officer, welcomed the participants and gave a brief introduction about objectives of MSK and discussed theschemes being implemented the Department of Social Welfare such as One Stop Centre (SAKHI), ICPS, Women helpline 181, MSK helpline, Child Helpline. She informed them that MSK is an initiative of the government to provide 24 hour-immediate response to women affected by any kind of violence. She also sensitised the women about other schemes like BetiBachaoBetiPadhao, PMMVY and SukanyaSamridhiYojna. She stressed the women to avail the benefit of these schemes.
MansiAbrol, District coordinator, provided information about the pension scheme, Old age pension, widow pension and handicapped pension scheme. She also talked about the PoshanAbhiyan scheme, and Tejaswni livelihood scheme for women Entrepreneurs.
RitikaBanotra, District coordinator also imparted information regarding State Marriage Assistance Scheme (SMAS), Skill Development Scheme, Integrated Social Security Scheme and Scholarship.
The MSK team also noted the grievances of the women and assured them to provide help as soon as possible.
DDC Poonch reviews execution of dev works proposed under Capex plan 2022
Poonch : The Deputy Commissioner Poonch, InderJeet Saturday chaired a meeting of the district/ sectoral officers to review the execution of work under District Capex Plan 2022-23.
He reviewed the works proposed by RDD, Jal Shakti, R&B, Health, School Education, Irrigation and Power Development with regard to augmentation of drinking water, health infrastructure, school infrastructure, electricity etc.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the PWD (R&B) Jal Shakti and other development departments to tender all approved works so that the execution ofthe same could be started at the earliest.
The DC directed the CEO education and CMO to submit all the pending estimates by or before May 10.
The EO municipality was asked to complete the tendering ofthe works by or before May 12, while the Rural Development Department was asked to prepare the estimates of all proposed works and submit the same to competent authority by May 12 for administrative approval.
The Executive Engineers were also asked to submit the JE wisework statement on a daily basis.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Abdul Sattar; Chief Planning Officer, MadanLal; Assistant Commissioner Development, AbidHussain Shah; ACP, Shafiq Mir; CMO, Dr Shamim Bhatti; CEO Education, Abdul Majid, BDOs, JEs, and all district/sectoral officers were present.
