Reasi : Following complaints against flouting of traffic rules by commercial passenger vehicles, ARTO Reasi Rajesh Gupta Friday laid Nakka checking in different parts of Katra.
The ARTO challaned 14 vehicles and recovered a fine of Rs. 6,000 from violators.
Rajesh Gupta said that the team of the Motor Vehicle Department also removed extra seats from the passenger vehicles which were being used to carry extra passengers.
The inspection team also advised the people to observe traffic norms and road safety rules while traveling.
The ARTO Reasi asked drivers of passenger vehicles to strictly adhere to the traffic rules to avoid any action by the department.
