Hybrid militant , a militant associate arrested in Bla: Police

Baramulla : Police on Friday said that it has arrested a hybrid militant and a militant associate linked with LeT militant outfit and also recovered incriminating materials, arms and ammunition from their possession.
In a statement issued on Friday police said that on receiving specific inputs about the movement of militants, a joint checkpoint was established by Police, 46RR, 53Bn CRPF & 2nd Bn SSB near Hilltop Cheradari Baramulla and during checking, the joint party observed the movement of two suspicious persons who tried to flee from the spot on noticing the joint party but the alert party apprehended the duo tactfully.
Stating that the arrested duo has been identified as Ashiq Hossain Lone son of Gh Nabi resident of Hyder Mohalla Ushkara Baramulla and Uzair Amin Ganie son of Mohd Amin resident of Kanthbagh Baramulla, police in it’s statement further said that during personal search of the detained persons, incriminating materials, arms and ammunition including 01 Pistol, 01 magazine, 08 live rounds, 02 hand grenades and 02 UBGL grenades were recovered from their possession.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested duo is linked with LeT militant outfit and have obtained these illegal arms ammunition through some foreign militant of LeT militant outfit with the intention to carry out militant activities in Baramulla and its adjacent areas, reads the police statement, adding that “a case under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Baramulla and further investigation is in progress”.
