Baramulla. : The Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhary Mohammad Iqbal Friday visited Seed Multiplication Farm (SMF) TapparKreeri district Baramulla.
The Director during the visit inspected various blocks of the farm and took stock of different Agriculture activities.
While interacting with the staff and technical experts of Tappar Farm, the Director said that Department is implementing a prestigious initiative and is endeavouring to optimize the utility of Departmental farms to attain self-reliance in the field of seed requirement for Kashmir Division.
He said Department has already fixed benchmarks and targets for every departmental farm in the valley so far as the production is concerned and after visiting different farms during the recent times we are satisfied and optimistic that we could achieve those targets in an effective manner, he added.
The Director appreciated the efforts of the concerned technical expert, officers and asked them to work with close coordination, so that the Farms could achieve new heights in the years to come.
He was accompanied by JD Farms Iqbal Singh, Deputy Director Planning Mohammad YounisChowdhary and othersenior officers of the Department.
