Baramula : Police on Thursday said that it has solved a burglary case in Baramulla and arrested an accused person involved in the commission of crime and also recovered stolen property from his possession.
In a statement issued on Thursday police said “police Station Tangmarg received a complaint from Fayaz Ahmad Lone son of AbMajeed Lone resident of MaheenTangmarg wherein it was alleged that during the intervening night of 2nd and 3rd May some unknown burglars have barged into his shop and stolen away mobile phones, mobile accessories and laptops worth lakhs from the shop”.
Stating that a case FIR number 37/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Tangmarg and investigation was started, police in it’s statement further said that during the course of investigation, a special investigation police team led by SHO PS Tangmarg under the supervision of SDPO Tangmarg was constituted which using all available means and modern technical gadgets including analysing CCTVs installed in the market zeroed in on a suspect identified as Owais Ahmad Lone son of Ab Rasheed resident of Ferozpora Tangmarg. “When officers spoke to him they learnt about his involvement in the commission of crime”, reads the police statement, adding therein that “ on the disclosure of the said accused, stolen property worth lakhs was recovered from his possession following which he arrested and shifted to police station where remain in custody and Further investigation into the case is going”.
In the concluding para of its statement police appreciated efforts of the investigation team in cracking the burglary cases and resolved to act tough against individuals involved in any kind of criminal activities.
