Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, VikasKundal Monday reviewed the repair and maintenance of Water Supply Installations here at a meeting of functionaries of Jal Shakti Mechanical division.
Officers present in the meeting included ExEnJal Shakti Mechanical division Rajouri, Manmohan Singh and Assistant Director Planning, BansiLal.
During the meeting, the DDC reviewed the status of the water supply schemes in the district which have become non-functional due to some electromechanical faults.
The ExEn Mechanical apprised that out of 324 water supply schemes in the district, 13 are non-functional. He also briefed about the status of ongoing repair work on the water supply schemes and the progress achieved in this regard as of now.
The DDC asked the concerned officer to restore all the non-functional water supply schemes at the earliest to provide adequate drinking water supply to the general public.
Speedy completion of the repair work of hand pumps was also stressed by the DDC.
It was also decided in the meeting that a special course on repair of electromechanical motors would be introduced in all the ITIs of the district so that necessary repairs to this equipment could be done within the district.
Pipping ceremony of newly promoted Dy.SSP held at SKPA Udhampur
Udhampur : A pipping ceremony of newly promoted six Dy.SsP was held Monday at Sher-I-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur.
Dr. S. D. Singh Jamwal, ADGP, Director SKPA Udhampur and Vinay Kumar, Dy. Director (Administration) SKPA Udhampur decorated the officers with ranks.
The promoted officers are Ashok Kumar, ShankerBhadur, Shakil Ahmed,Sukhvir Singh, Kewal Kishore, and Khudmukthar Dev.
Dr.Jamwal congratulated the newly promoted Dy.SsP and advised them to work with enthusiasm and highest degree of dedication. He emphasized that the promotion not only upgrades working status in the police department, but also adds more responsibilities and challenges in their respective working field. He wished good luck to the newly promoted officers and bright future service career.
Among others present were Pawan Kumar Sharma, Dy.SP, Asstt. Director (Outdoor), Suraj Singh, Dy.SPAsstt. Director (Trg./R&D), Ramesh Kataria, Dy.SP(S) PS to Director, Sunmati Gupta, Dy.SP, Asstt. Director (Q) and other officers of the Police Academy were present on the occasion.
