Kishtwar : A Team of Food Safety, DFCO Kishtwar Sunday conducted extensive market checking Drive ahead of Eid -ul-Fitr in Kishtwar town to ensure safe, quality, Hygienic & pure as well as fresh essential commodities to the Consumers besides to curb overcharging andprofiteering.
During the drive, the team carried out inspections under the FSS Act, the team warned the Business Operators against deliberate violations while the market remained abuzz for Eid -ul-Fitr shopping.
The vendors operating without licenses/ Registrations & operating under unhygienic conditions were prohibited from further violations.
During market checking, 8 erring shopkeepers were booked under Section 8, 56 & 58 of FSS Act.
The team also destroyed more than 55 KG rotten, decomposed fruits, open and uncovered cut fruits, unfit for human consumption on the spot.
