ADC Ramban reviews arrangements for Eid-ul-Fitr, ParshuramJayanti

Ramban: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, HarbansLal Sharma, Saturday chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for ensuing holy festival of Eid-ul-Fitr, after completion of the holy month of Ramadhan and ParshuramJayanti.
CEO, MC, Ramban, Vishwajeet, Assistant Director, Food, CS & CA, Ramban, ShohabLateef, Tehsildar, Ramban, Rafiq Ahmad, Designated Officer, Food Safety, Farid Beg, Assistant Controller, Legal Metrology, Anil Kumar, besides other senior district officers attended the meeting.
Sub Divisional Magistrates of Gool, Banihal&Ramsoo joined the meeting through virtual mode.
During the meeting, the ADC directed the Food, CS & CA Department to ensure supply of essential commodities during the holy festivals. He also directed the stakeholder departments to check availability of fresh vegetables, fruit and other items in the markets.
Directions were also issued to ensure that there is no overcharging or fleecing of consumers and added that any violation of notified rates will be dealt severely. Prominent display of Rate Lists was specifically impressed upon the in the said meeting.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner was briefed by CEO MC Ramban regarding cleanliness drives in and around religious places where congregational prayers shall be held. He also passed similar directions to EOs of MC Banihal and Batote.
Highlighting the need to ensure hygiene in marketplaces and essential food items, DO Food Safety was specifically directed to carry out market checking drives across the district, especially shops and food outlets on the axis of Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (now NH-44). Similar directions were handed out to Legal Metrology Department.
The ADC directed the SDMs to ensure that all arrangements related to law and order and other SoPs are followed in letter and spirit, in consultation with the Police authorities.
