Srinagar Mayor visits Hazratbal Dargah, Reviews arrangements ahead of Eid UL Fitr

Srinagar : Mayor Srinagar Junaid Azim Mattu on Saturday visited Hazratbal Shrine to offer Jumait ul Vidah prayers at the grans shrine .
According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Office of Srinagar Municipal Corporation(SMC) Mayor prayed for the peace, prosperity , communal harmony and brotherhood on this day . Mayor, according to the statement, also appealed people to pray for complete peace, stability and overall development of J&K and prosperity of country. He oversaw the arrangements made for the devotees at the Dargah. He visited various areas of the shrine and took on the spot review of the arrangements put in place by Srinagar Municipal Corporation and by other departments including PDD, PHE, Traffic Police, Health Departments for the purpose.
Mayor on the occassion directed uninterrupted supply of electricity, drinking water and sanitation facilities at the shrine complex particularly during prayer times. To facilitate worshippers thronging to the place, Mattu passed on directions to the concerned to set up a Municipal Camp for assistance of devotees. He further said that SMC shall setup similar assistance camps at other shrines as well .He also visited the areas earmarked for prayers for ladies and gents, places of ablution; facilitation counters etc and took stock of the facilities put in place there. Mayor also reviewed the arrangements and other basic facilities including drinking water facility , uninterrupted power supply ,Sanitation, functionality of street lights , Anti encroachment drives and steps being taken for curbing dog menace in and around the premises of Shrine.

During his visit you Hazratbal Shrine he also interacted with the people to know the facilities being provided to them and if they did not face any inconvenience on the days of Shabe Qadar, Jumait ul Vidah.
Clear cut Directions were passed on the occassion to the concerned officials that all necessary arrangements be it Sanitaion, facilitating devotees by setting up Assistance camps, smooth flow of traffic by ensuring constant anti encroachment drives and providing clean environment to the people by regular cleanliness/ sanitation drives and various other vital arrangements be taken care of ahead of Eid festival.
