Theft case solved in Srinagar, 3 accused arrested, stolen property recovered: Police

Srinagar : Police on Wednesday said that it has solved a theft case in Srinagar and arrested three accused persons involved in the commission of crime and also recovered stolen property from their possession.
In a statement issued on Wednesday police said that Police Station Parimpora received complaint on 24th April this year from GhRasool Shah son of Mohd Maqbool resident of Hamdaniya Colony Bemina stating therein that during the intervening night of 23rd and 24th April some unknown thieves have barged into the house of his son-in-law Manzoor Ahmad Buch at Umer Abad Shalteng and have stolen copper utensils etc.
Police in it’s statement further said that a case vide FIR No. 101/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Parimpora and investigation was set into motion.
Stating further that during the course of investigation, officers investigating the case conducted several raids on suspected locations and many suspects were called for questioning, Police in it’s statement further said that during the course of questioning, three suspected persons confessed their involvement in the commission of crime.
“The accused have been identified as Danish Ahmad Dar son of Mohd Shafi, Mohd Shafi Darson of Asadullah Dar both residents of Shah Colony Parimpora and Ajaz Ahmad Tabardar son of Ab Rashid resident of Fidous Abad Parimpora (A/P Pamposh Colony Palpora)”, reads the police statement, adding that “ On their disclosure, stolen property was also recovered from their possession”. Stating that the said accused have been arrested in the instant case and shifted to police station where they remain in custody, Police in the concluding para of it’s above-quoted statement police resolved to act tough against individuals involved in criminal activities.
4 drug peddlers, 03 gamblers held in B’la: Police
Baramulla : Police on Wednesday said that it has arrested four drug peddlers & three gamblers in Baramulla and also recovered contraband substances from their possession.
In a statement issued on Wednesday police said that a police party led by SHO PS Baramulla along with in-charge PP Delina during daily routine checking at Juhama-Kanispora crossing intercepted a vehicle bearing chasis number MALB351GLNM-293869 with four persons on board and upon checking officers recovered 700 grams of Heroin like substance from the said vehicle following which they were identified as Nazir Ahmad Dar son of GhulamQadir resident of NuhamaQaziabad, Mushtaq Ahmad Dar son of AbGani Dar resident of PeerniyanBoniyar, Bilal Ahmad Shah son of Mohd Shah and Bilal Ahmad Waza son of Mohd ShabanWaza both residents of SahadatporaNaidkhai.
Stating that the said accused have been arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody, police in it’s statement further said that the vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
Police in it’s statement also said that while acting on specific information, a police party from Police Station Baramulla raided a gambling site at Fatehpora Baramulla on recieviung inputs about gambling activities and arrested 03 gamblers. “Officers have seized stake money of ₹20,500/- and playing cards from the gamblers who have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody”, reads further the above referred police statement.Police in its statement further said that cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigation set in motion.
In the concluding para of its statement police appealed people to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood but warned that people found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt with as per law, stating therein further that consistent actions against drug peddlers are taken to keep society free from the scourge of drug menace.
