Public Outreach Prog: DC Srinagar holds Public grievance Redressal camp at Eidgah, Shaher e Khaas

Srinagar To listen to the grievances of people at their doorsteps and to ensure on spot resolution of their developmental issues, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad Wednesday held a Public Grievance Redressal Camp in the lawns of Historic Aali Masjid of Shahar e Khaas in Eidgah Tehsil of the district as part of Public Outreach Programme.
The programme witnessed large participation of people from Eidgah, Ali Jan road, Zoonimar, Wanganpora, Syedpora, Soura, Anchaar, Dugpora, Buchpora, Nowshera, Hawal, SafakadalPalpora, Achan and other adjoining areas of Eidgah Tehsil of Srinagar.
Among others the Public Grievance Redressal Camp was attended by General Manager DIC, Deputy Director Employment, Chief Planning Officer, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Chief Education Officer, Tehsildar Eidgah, District Social Welfare Officer, Lead Bank Manager and other Zonal and Sectoral Officers of the District.
During the Grievance Redressal Camp, public delegations and scores of individuals projected various developmental issues l before the DC including augmentation of drainage system in the area, repairs of lanes & drains, macadamization of roads, augmentation of water and power supply, widening of road at intersection of Dugpora-Buchpora road, revenue matters, irrigation related and other issues.
After giving patient hearing to the grievances and demands of the public, the DC sought on the spot response from the concerned District Officers present during the Grievance Redressal Camp.
He also assured the people of Eidgah Tehsil that all genuine demands and issues projected by them will be looked into on priority for their speedy redressal.
The DC also gave on the spot directions to the concerned officers for time bound redressal of the public issues including long pending demand of augmentation of drainage network system in the area.
Addressing the gathering, the DC said the purpose of holding such grievance redressal Camps is to take appraisal of local issues from the general public for precise and on-ground assessment for time bound redressal.
On the occasion, people of the area thanked the DC for conducting Block Diwas in Shaher e Khaas for the first time and bringing Administration at the doorsteps of the people for early redressal of their grievances and issues.
Later, the DC gave away Scooties to specially-abled persons having reduced mobility due to impairment of locomotive organsunder the scheme of the Social Welfare Department. Golden Cards under PMJAY Ayushman Bharat were also distributed among the beneficiaries.
