DC Shopian chairs Block Diwas at Chitragam, Zainpora

Shopian : The District Administration Shopian Wednesday organised a weekly Public Outreach programme/ Block Diwas at Chitragam, Zainpora here under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya.
During the proceedings of the programme, the DC keenly listened to the grievances and demands of people hailing from Tehsil, Chitragam.
Sectoral and District heads besides other officials of various departments present on spot were instructed to resolve grievances as demanded by Public delegations and citizens expeditiously, besides they were also directed for making favourable action for improving the provision of different services.
During the programme, the Public representatives, delegations and locals of Chitragam, Habdipora, Imam Sahib and various other villages put forth their grievances and demands regarding establishment of different public institutions/ offices and execution of developmental works viz. upgradation of sub centre to PHC, high school to Hr. Secondary School, Sub centre, Social welfare office to TSWO office, establishment of workshop of transformers, macadamization of Shopian Zainpora road, creation of Horticulture zone, fire emergency station in Tehsil Chitragam and construction of bridge at NalaTongri.
The DC gave a patient hearing to the delegations and directed the concerned officers to resolve their issues in a time bound manner. Many grievances were also redressed on the spot.
Vaishya on the occasion informed the public that many grievances as taken up in the Diwas have already been taken up with administrative departments for approval. He also intimated the public that work on many projects shall be started very soon during the ensuing financial year.
He also appealed to the citizens, who have not yet got their health cards to immediately apply for them at the designated centres and also instructed authorities to expedite registration and preparation of Health Cards, so that people can avail healthcare benefits of the revolutionary scheme, AB-PMJAY-SEHAT.
SDM Zainpora, MushtaqAhamd, ACD, SHO, AHO, CEO, ACP, DSWO, Tehsildar, other district and tehsil level officers and officials of different departments were present on the occasion.
