DC Rajouri reviews arrangements for Eid UlFitr

Rajouri : Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, VikasKundal Wednesday reviewed the arrangements for auspicious occasions of Shab-e-Qadr, JumatUl Vida and Eid UlFitr here at a meeting with officers and members of different religious organisations.
Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the officers to provide all requisite facilities to the public like drinking water, sanitation, Medicare, transport, uninterrupted power and water supply and other necessary arrangements in this regard.
The Police authorities were directed to deploy adequate personnel on the holy day for the security of the public. The Traffic authorities were directed to prepare well thought-out traffic management and parking plans in order to ensure hassle-free to-and-fro movement of vehicles on the scheduled day.
He also directed the concerned officers from the PDD and Jal Shakti Department to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply to the general public during the festive days.
The concerned officer from the fire and emergency Department was directed to keep the fire tenders on alert 24/7. EO MC has been directed to ensure cleanliness in the town during the festivals.
The DC also directed the concerned officer from the Health Department to keep available all the Medicare facilities for the public to meet any emergency. He also asked the concerned officer from FCS & CA to intensify market checking to keep a check on overpricing, profiteering, and black-marketing.
He also asked the concerned officers to ensure that all the requisite arrangements related to festivals are put in place well in time so that the public don’t face any inconveniences during the auspicious occasions.
