Reasi: District Hub for Empowerment of Women organises awareness prog

Reasi : District Hub for Empowerment of Women on Tuesday organised an awareness program on women centric government schemes here at Anganwari centre PanchayatDhanori.
The main objective of this camp was to provide basic information to potential women beneficiaries at their doorstep and to ensure their enrollment in various beneficiary-oriented, welfare, and self-employment programmes, said District Social Welfare Officer, Dr.Pallvi Sharma.
District Coordinator Surchika Sharma apprised the local women about MSK and its objectives. The programme was attended by the local women of the area. The participants were apprised about different schemes currently active in the department of social welfare like old age pension scheme, schemes for women in distress (divorce/widow/destitute), schemes for physically challenged persons etc.
The participants were also informed about restructured marriage assistance and many other schemes being implemented by the department of handicrafts. Schemes in ICPS like sponsorship schemes, women helpline 181, one stop centre and the programs available to the women affected by violence were also discussed in detail.
Participants raised many queries and grievances and same were taken into account with due diligence. Many doubts were cleared on the spot and immediate necessary action was assured with regard to remaining queries and grievances.
