DC B’pora reviews Aadhaar Enrollment

Emphasis laid on Aadhaar saturation in the age group of 0-18 years by 20th May

B’pora : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr.Owais Ahmad Tuesday chaired a meeting to review the process of Aadhaar enrolment in the district especially children enrolled in all schools and Anganwadi centres of the district.
The meeting was convenedto get first-hand information on the issues pertaining to achievement of the cent per cent coverage target and to come up with measures for achieving the target.
Manager DIC, Mehraj Wani briefly apprised the chair regarding the number of secondary and elementary level schools with below-averageAadhaar enrolment.
Speaking at the meeting, Dr.Owais elaborately emphasised on the significance of possession of Aadhaar card, especially by schoolchildren to avail various scholarship and other benefits and sought active cooperation and participation from all Education department functionaries for realising this objective of saturation.
The DC said, district has sufficient number of machines and manpower functional at schools and asked the Education department and the ICDS department to expedite the enrolment process in order to achieve the target of cent percent coverage.
He asked the concerned to ensure no eligible student is left without Adhaar.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Bandipora, Ali Afsar khan, District Programme Officer ICDS Bandipora,
CEO Bandipora, Project Manager DIC, CDPOs, ZEOs and other concerned.
