Arrangements for Jumat-ul-Vida, Shab-e-Qadr, and Eid-ul-Fitr reviewed at G’bal

G’bl|April, 26: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ganderbal, Khurshid Ahmad Shah Tuesday convened a meeting to take stock of the arrangements being made by concerned departments for the ensuing Shab-i-Qadr, Jummat-ul-vida and Eid-ul-Fitr.
The ADDC took department- wise review of arrangements to be made in view of Jumat-Ul-Vida, Shab-e- Qadr and Eid-Ul-Fitr and called for making foolproof arrangements for the auspicious days, especially at prominent places where congregation prayers would be offered.
He emphasized upon the Municipal Authorities to ensure cleanliness and fumigation at the Mosques/Eidgahs where large congregations are expected to take place on both the auspicious days.
The Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department was asked to ensure availability of essential commodities including Ration and LPG. Besides, Executive Engineer PHE and PDD were impressed upon to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply during the festive days.
The market checking squads were directed to intensify market checking so that illegal profiteering and selling of low-quality food items is curbed.
To tackle any medical emergency, ADDC impressed upon the Health department to keep the ambulance along with doctors and medicines ready. He also directed the concerned to keep fire tenders available at the Mosques/Eidgahs where large congregations are expected.
The meeting was attended by ADC Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, ACR Ganderbal, Tehsildars, and the officers of PDD, PHE, R&B, Health, Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry, FCS&CA, Fire and Emergency Services, Traffic Police and Municipal Authorities
