Workshop on PMSSS held at PSPS Govt P.G College for Women Gandhinagar

Jammu : A day long workshop on Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) 2022-2023 was organized by Govt. P.G College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, in collaboration with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi.
Director School Education Jammu, Dr Ravi Shankar Sharma, was the chief guestand Director Skill Development, Jammu Sudershan Kumar, was the Guest of Honour, while Prof.AjitAngral, consultant (PMSSS) and R.K Ganjoo, Assistant Director, AICTE were the resource persons.
The function started with formal welcome of the dignitaries and participants by Principal of the College Dr SangitaNagari.
Around 900 students from Govt. Degree Colleges, Govt Polytechnic Colleges, Govt. Higher Secondary School and Govt. High Schools participated in the event.
Appreciating the efforts of AICTE for continuing the process of PMSSS, Dr Ravi Shankar impressed upon the Principals and Nodal officers to make their facilitation cum document verification centre students friendly by equipping the same with the required facilities. He impressed upon the heads of the schools to spread mass awareness about PMSSS to encourage and benefit maximum number of students to avail the scheme.
Prof AjitAngral said that the PMSSS has ensured equal opportunity to the students of J&K to study in the prestigious colleges of the country.
Dr R.K Ganjoo delivered a PowerPoint presentation regarding registration, application submission, admission, error handling and course selection.
The workshop ended with a question-answer session, wherein students raised several queries which were answered by Prof AjitAngral and R.K Ganjoo.
