Kissan Mela held at Bijbehara

Anantnag : One day KissanMela (District Level) was organized by Horticulture Department District Anantnag Monday at Bijbehara, during commencement of “KissanBaghedariPrathmikhthaHamari Campaign” under AzadikaAmritMahotsavw.e.f. 25th April to 01st May, 2022.
The event was chaired by Roshan Din Dar, Chief Horticulture Officer Anantnag wherein Dr.Ishtiyaq Ahmad Khan, Scientist Fruit Science from KVK Anantnagalong with District SMS Plant Pathology Anantnag and all Horticulture Dev. Officers attended the event.
Besides 150 orchardists across the district participated in the event and were provided awareness regarding various beneficiary oriented departmental schemes as well as latest interventions in timely management of various insects, pests and diseases.
Moreover, plant protection schedules and Kissan credit card (KCC) forms were also distributed amongst orchardists in the event.
Orchardists appreciated the initiative taken by the Horticulture department and demanded that such programmes should be conducted in each Horticulture Zone of the district in future as well so that the orchardist community gets benefitted.
